Reflections from the "Using Your Computer to Enhance Classroom Instruction" (Mac Basics) professional development course offered by the IT department of the Canyons School District
Today I threw away a ton of stuff. At one time I was reminded that they are gone forever. Yahoo!! All I had was tons of stuff not organized. Now I have hope that I may be able to organize my documents.
Lisa Rigby I love getting organized. It make me feel like I know what I am doing and it is very therapeutic!! I have never really known how to organize my documents or how to make a new folder. I have a lot to do to get where I want to be as far as organization, but I am on my way and looking forward to going to my desktop or a folder and know exactly what is in it instead of searching everywhere for a missing document. Thanks for your help. You are all so helpful AND AWESOME!
I was able to get a lot of my files organized. It felt so good to throw out tons of trash that I didn't even know that I had on my computer. I also learned that my son is staying off of my computer. =) I am so excited to find out more about my screen saver. I am going to use the cosmic setting for my classroom. We have studied about the moon and they will love to see pictures. I also learned a lot about the menu bar. This class is amazing!!!!
This class gave me lots to work on. I think I had about 15 folders on my desktop. I could hardly see my pictures on my screen. I definitely needed to learn how to organize them. I also feel I can find them when I tuck them out of my sight. Thank you for helping me look and feel organized!
Thank you so much- I also love to learn new things especially shortcuts. Thank you for organizing me so I can now actually see the my photos on my desktop. Julie McFarland
Sharie (Sharman) Johnson Lone Peak Elementary I still use my desk top computer for most of my work so I don't have many files on my laptop. I used some of the things I learned about organization on my old desk top...mainly deleting files that have been there for years...and belonged to the teacher who had the computer before me. I will continue to use the skills. Have you thought of putting together a little more detailed outline of your presentation? That would really help those of us who need a little more time to process the information and practice using it before it becomes useful.
This class was helpful in helping me to compile my documents together and clean up my desktop. Thanks for the shortcuts. I did throw some stuff away and organized a lot of other items.
Karen said...... This was very refreshing. It gave me HOPE for getting organized. Teachers have so much to keep track of. I have been SOOOOO overwhelmed. I can't wait to work more at fining, reading, deleting, and organizing files. Thanks, K Johnson
It was therapeutic to finally get rid of some junk! I will continue to clean out more junk and organize files. It was great to learn that my finder is like a filing cabinet. This class is a fabulous learning experience.
